Pyrometer with patented signal processing for the measurement of metals at temperatures above 75 ° C
Non-contact temperature measurement of metals at temperatures With the integration of a new highly sensitive InGaAS photodiode, KELLER ITS has developed a new infrared pyrometer with a patented signal processing capable of detecting very small photoelectric current of few picoamperse. The patent is based on a combination and high-resolution analog-to-digital conversion amplifiers and extremely low-noise (NETD) components. A powerful microprocessor runs a complex algorithm to determine the true temperature . Temperatures of metals above 75 ° C can be measured with one of the two new pyrometers CellaTemp PK 25 and CellaTemp PA 28. This statement is true even under difficult conditions like with bare metals with an emissivity 10%, for an acquisition time of couples of milliseconds and for some small objects of only 2 mm.

KELLER ITS has developed two new models of the PK compact pyrometer series. The CellaCombustion PK 72 is used to measure hot exhaust gases. The spectral range of the infrared thermometer is designed to detect the infrared radiation of the hot CO2 gas in the boiler room, The CellaCombustion PK 62 is designed for the temperature measurement of sooting flames. A complex mathematical algorithm determines the temperature from the infrared radiation of the hot particles in the flame.
pyrometer CellaCast PT 183 for molten metal temperature measurement
With the CellaCast PT 183, KELLER ITS has developed a new pyrometric measuring method, which is able to distinguish between a clean and oxide-bearing surface. This CSD (Clean Surface Detection) function detects the temperature of the clean melt. The only precondition is, that a clean melt is seen from the device at least for a few milliseconds during the measurement. In practice this is ensured by a flowing melt during casting into a transport ladle or into the mold.
